Fortino di Sant’Antonio

Overlooking one of the most picturesque corners of the old town, the Fortino di Sant’Antonio rises where the ancient city walls open toward the sea, offering breathtaking views of both the historic and modern city. Built in the 15th century by order of Duke Giovanni Antonio Del Balzo Orsini, the fort has endured through the centuries, transforming and being reborn several times, particularly under the rule of Isabella of Aragon and Bona Sforza.

Today, this ancient bastion of Bari Vecchia is a place for gathering and reflection — suspended between history and the horizon.
