Palazzo Fizzarotti

Rising above the ancient “Mare Isabella” aquifer, Palazzo Fizzarotti in Bari is a magnificent example of eclectic architecture, blending Gothic, Arabic, and Apulian Romanesque influences. Its foundations tell the story of medieval convents and 13th-century rest stations, a reminder of a time when the city extended beyond its walls.

In 1905, the palace was purchased by banker Emanuele Fizzarotti, who entrusted architects Ettore Bernich and Augusto Corradini with its renovation. The façade, facing Corso Vittorio Emanuele, is framed by two towers adorned with domes decorated in gold leaf, pinnacles, and timeless elegance — a symbol of Bari’s aristocratic and visionary heritage.
